Cairn India Ltd has informed BSE that the Management Committee of the Rajasthan Block RJ-ON-90/1 on March 31, 2008 has formally approved the Bhagyam field development plan. The field, which is the second largest field in the block, is expected to produce at the rate of 40,000 barrels of oil per day.
The Management Committee of RJ?ON-90/1 consists of Directorate General of Hydrocarbons (Government of India), ONGC and Cairn India.
