National Thermal Power Corporation Ltd (NTPC) has informed BSE that the Company and National Geo-physical Research Institute (NGRI), Hyderabad signed an MOU for cooperating and sharing their knowledge to identify potential sites for selling up Gee-thermal based power projects in India. Both the organisations have agreed to associate for formulating a long term strategy to set up the first Geothermal based power project in India. As a foray, Tattapani in the state of Chattisgarh has been identified as the first project site.
