Sasken Communication - Press Release

Sasken Communication Technologies Ltd has informed BSE that certain acts of individual misconduct took place about three weeks ago in respect of which the Company has taken disciplinary action against those involved. However, the incidents of misconduct were reported in the media on March 03, 2008 leading to protest by a section of public at the Company’s offices in Bangalore. Further the Company added that the incident has not affected the general working of the Company.

A Press Release issued by the Company on March 03, 2008 in connection with this incident is as follows:

“Sasken Management strongly condemns the incident reported by the media on March 03, 2008, and is in no way associated with such acts of Individual misconduct. Prompt disciplinary action has been taken against the individuals purported to have been involved, and their services terminated with immediate effect. Sasken Management is further investigating the matter, and will take required action against all those found to be responsible.

Sasken has been an exemplary corporate citizen, since being found in Bangalore more than 20 years ago. Sasken is proud to be in Karnataka, contributing to its growth with about 2,500 employees working in various facilities across Karnataka. Sasken has reaffirmed its commitment to the state and the local community by supporting initiatives such as the upkeep of the Ulsoor Police station, CMH Park and other civic amenities, and supporting agencies involved in public service such as Samarthanam, Parikrma, F.A.M.E. India and Vatsalya.

We respect Karnataka and the sentiments of its people and are proud to be a part of this State and in no way support any activity that is against the interest and sentiments of Karnataka and its people. We once again apologise for the incident that has hurt the sentiments of the people.”
