Shaw Wallace & Company Ltd has informed BSE that pursuant to an order made on the March 12, 2008, the Hon’ble High Court at Calcutta has directed that a meeting of the Equity Shareholders of the Company will be held on April 25, 2008, for the purpose of considering, and if thought fit, approving with or without modification, the proposed Scheme of Amalgamation to be made between Shaw Wallace & Company Ltd and United Spirits Ltd.
