Bannari Amman Sugars Ltd has informed BSE that :

(a) The Government of Tamilnadu has demarcated necessary cane area for the establishment of an Integrated Sugar Complex comprising of Sugar Plant of 5000 TCD, Co-generation Plant, Distilleries, Ethanol Plant and Bio-compositing Units at Kolundampattu Village, Thandarampattu Taluk, Tiruvannamalai District, Tamilnadu State. Effective steps are being taken for the implementation of the Integrated Sugar Complex.

(b) The Government of Karnataka has approved the proposal for Change of Location of Sugar Unit situate at Kunthur Village, Kollegal Taluk chamrajanagara District to Modhalli Village, Kollegal Taluk, Chamrajanagara District, Karnataka State and to establish 6000 TCD Sugar Plant increasing the capacity from 2500 TCD together with 28.8 MW Co-generation Plant.
