Cummins India Ltd has informed BSE that the Company has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Government of Maharashtra on March 15, 2008, wherein the State of Maharashtra has offered “Mega Project” incentives to the Company for its proposed expansion Project(s) at Phaltan MIDC (Village Survadi, District Satara). The benefits / incentives include electricity duty exemption, exemption from payment of stamp duty, Industrial Promotion Subsidy etc. as per the current Industrial Policy of the State of Maharashtra and Package Scheme of Incentives (PSI), 2007.
