Stelco Strips Ltd has informed BSE that the Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held on June 25, 2008, inter alia, has taken the following decisions:

1. The 20th Annual General Meeting of the Company will be held on July 30, 2008.

2. The Board of Directors has appointed Sh. Ved Parkash Chhabra as additional director. He will be independent director of the Company.

3. The Board of Directors has in principle approved CAPEX program involving outlay of Rs 65 Crores (approx.). Under first phase of this program, Colour Coating Line will be added adjoining to Company’s existing production facilities at G T Road, Doraba with a outlay of Rs 35 Crores (approx.) for the manufacturing of Colour Coated Sheets. Under second phase of this program, Rs 30 Crores (approx.) has been embarked for optimization & sophistication of plant operations (including setting up of manufacturing facilities for high tensile straps). It will enhance the customer base & overall competitiveness of the Company.
