Tata Chemicals Ltd has informed BSE that the Company, world’s second largest producer of Soda Ash on June 05, 2008 announced commencement of a new hi-tech Sodium Bicarbonate plant at Delfzijl, Netherlands. The plant built at a cost of Euro 15 million - the first of its kind in the Netherlands - takes the Company’s global production of Sodium Bicarbonate to 200,000 tones per year.
