Union Bank of India has informed BSE that the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (b) of sub-section 3 of Section 9 of the Banking Companies (Acquisition and Transfer of Undertakings) Act, 1970 / 1980, read with sub-clause (1) of clause 3 of the Nationalized Banks (Management and Miscellaneous Provisions) Scheme, 1970 / 1980, has nominated Shri. K V Eapen as Director on the Board of Union Bank of India in place of Shri. B S Bhalla, with immediate effect, i.e. June 10, 2008 and until further orders.
