Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) has informed BSE that the Company and NTPC had signed a Joint Venture Agreement on December 17, 2007 for establishment and operation of a joint venture company for taking up EPC Contracts for Power Plants and other Infrastructure Projects as well as manufacture & supply of equipment in India and Abroad. The JVC Company has been incorporated in the name and style of “NTPC-BHEL Power Projects Pvt Ltd”. The Certificate of Incorporation of the JVC was presented today by CMD, BHEL and CMD, NTPC to Sh. Sontosh Mohan Dev, Hon’ble Union Minister of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises and Sh. Sushil Kumar Shinde, Hon’ble Union Minister of Power in a ceremony on April 29, 2008.
