Great Eastern Shipping Company Ltd (GE Shipping) has informed BSE that the Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held on May 02, 2008, inter alia, has declared:

a. 3rd interim dividend of Rs 5.00 per share for the financial year 2007-08.

b. a one time Special Jubilee interim dividend of Rs 2.50 per share.

The Company had earlier declared and paid 2 Interim Dividends of Rs 4.00 per share and Rs 3.50 per share. The Board has not recommended any Final Dividend for the Financial year 2007-08.

Further the Company has informed that, the Register of Members & Share Transfer Books of the Company will remain closed from July 11, 2008 to July 18, 2008 (both days inclusive).
