The results for the Quarter ended March 31, 2008

The Company has posted a net profit of Rs 1123.00 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2008 where as the same was at Rs 269.20 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2007. Total Income is Rs 5169.80 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2008 where as the same was at Rs 3872.10 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2007.

The results for the Year ended March 31, 2008

The Company has posted a net profit of Rs 3014.80 million for the year ended March 31, 2008 where as the same was at Rs 1882.80 million for the year ended March 31, 2007. Total Income is Rs 19380.70 million for the year ended March 31, 2008 where as the same was at Rs 16398.80 million for the year ended March 31, 2007.

The Group has posted a net profit of Rs 1328.20 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2008 where as the same was at Rs 549.50 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2007. Total Income is Rs 7679.00 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2008 where as the same was at Rs 6452.10 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2007.

The Audited consolidated results for the Year ended March 31, 2008

The Group has posted a net profit of Rs 3337.80 million for the year ended March 31, 2008 where as the same was at Rs 2180.50 million for the year ended March 31, 2007. Total Income is Rs 28789.10 million for the year ended March 31, 2008 where as the same was at Rs 24723.20 million for the year ended March 31, 2007.

The figures for the quarter ended and year ended March 31, 2008 are not strictly comparable since they include operations of Nicholas Piramal Consumer Products Pvt Ltd (NPCPPL) and NPIL Healthcare Pvt Ltd (NHPL) and exclude operations of Piramal Life Sciences Ltd (PLSL) w.e.f. appointed date April 01, 2007.
