State Bank of India (SBI) has informed BSE that the Central Government, in consultation with the Reserve Bank of India and in pursuance of clause (d) of Section 19 of the State Bank of India Act, 1955 (23 of 1955), has nominated Dr. (Mrs.) Vasantha Bharucha as a part-time non-official Director on the Central Board of State Bank of India for a period of three years with effect from February 25, 2008, vice Shri Piyush Goel.
