Suzlon Energy Ltd has informed BSE that : “It has come to our notice that some media reports have ascribed a figure of Rs 590 Crores as the amount payable by us to certain customers of ours. We would like to hereby clarify for the benefit of our shareholders and the public at large that the said figure is the accumulated provision figure on our balance sheet as at 31 March 2008 for all types of Guarantee and Warrantee Obligations, and not any compensation payment. We further request the investors and the public not to be misled by erroneous media reports of this nature.”
