GMR Infrastructure - Press Release

GMR Infrastructure Ltd has informed BSE that Delhi International Airport (P) Ltd, subsidiary of the Company has awarded Siemens Mobility a contract to supply the baggage handling system for the upcoming Terminal 3 at I.G.I. Airport, New Delhi. The system will have a throughput of more than 11,300 pieces of baggage per hour. A baggage X-ray system for full inspection will also be integrated. The total value of the contract amounts to 36 million Euros. Completion of the project is scheduled for March 31, 2010.

GMR Infrastructure Ltd has informed BSE that Delhi International Airport (P) Ltd, subsidiary of the Company has commissioned the in-line baggage handling system for two of eight rows at the International Terminal (T2) of Indira Gandhi International Airport from June 15, 2008 as part of the modernization and refurbishing process. The In-line baggage system helps passengers to save time as they will not have to queue up for precheck in luggage X-ray process.

GMR Infrastructure Ltd has informed BSE that the GMR Energy Ltd (GEL), the 100% Subsidiary Company having 220 MW power plant at Mangalore, had entered into a power purchase agreement (PPA) with Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Ltd for sale of power, for a period of 7 years. The PPA was later assigned to Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM) and Mangalore Electricity Supply Company (MESCOM). The PPA expires on June 07, 2008. GMR Energy Ltd Board has approved relocation of the 220 MW barge mounted power plant to Kakinada, State of Andhra Pradesh. The relocation of plant would take maximum of 9 months and the plant is expected to be re-commissioned at new location latest by April 2009 and would operate on gas.

GMR Infrastructure Ltd has announced the following results for the quarter & year ended March 31, 2008:

The Unaudited results for the Quarter ended March 31, 2008

The Company
has posted a net profit after tax of Rs 373.60 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2008 as compared to Rs 123.70 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2007. Total Income has increased from Rs 227.50 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2007 to Rs 644.40 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2008.

The Audited results for the Year ended March 31, 2008

The Company has posted a net profit after tax of Rs 626.90 million for the year ended March 31, 2008 as compared to Rs 28.80 million for the year ended March 31, 2007. Total Income has increased from Rs 339.00 million for the year ended March 31, 2007 to Rs 1122.00 million for the year ended March 31, 2008.

The Group has posted a net profit from Ordinary Activities after tax and minority interest of Rs 500.20 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2008 as compared to Rs 218.50 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2007. Total Income has increased from Rs 6194.70 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2007 to Rs 9051.90 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2008.

The Group has posted a net profit from Ordinary Activities after tax and minority interest of Rs 2100.80 million for the year ended March 31, 2008 as compared to Rs 1744.30 million for the year ended March 31, 2007. Total Income has increased from Rs 17150.70 million for the year ended March 31, 2007 to Rs 23645.30 million for the year ended March 31, 2008.

GMR Infrastructure Ltd has informed BSE that the meeting of the Board of Directors of the Company held on May 20, 2008, inter alia, to consider, and take on record, the audited financial results of the Company for the year ended March 31, 2008 has been adjourned to May 21, 2008, without approving the audited financial results for the year ended March 31, 2008.

The audited financial results of the Company for the Year ended March 31, 2008 will be considered and taken on record by the Board on May 21, 2008 at the adjourned Board Meeting.

GMR Infrastructure Ltd has informed BSE that Delhi International Airport (P) Ltd (DIAL), a Subsidiary of the Company mandated to modernize and restructure the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) will complete its second year of operations at midnight. DIAL took charge of the IGI Airport on May 03, 2006 and has since taken out several important initiatives as part of the project to improve IGI Airport.

GMR Infrastructure Ltd has informed BSE that GMR Energy Ltd (GEL), the Company’s 100% Subsidiary Company has acquired 5% stake in Homeland Mining and Energy SA (Pty) Ltd, South Africa, subsidiary of Homeland Energy Group Ltd, Toronto Canada.

Homeland Mining & Energy SA (Pty) Ltd. holds license for several coal mining projects in
South Africa. This acquisition would ensure fuel security for GMR Group’s power projects in India and such a transaction also acts as a catalyst in the development of the energy
business of the Group. GEL also maintains option to acquire an additional 45% stake in
Homeland Mining and Energy SA (Pty) Ltd.

GMR Infrastructure Ltd has informed BSE that the Company choose the option to submit its audited results for the entire Financial Year ended March 31, 2008, within the stipulated period of three months from March 31, 2008.

Consequently, the Company will not be publishing its unaudited financial results for the quarter ended March 31, 2008, i.e. the last quarter of the financial year.
