Hester Pharmaceuticals Ltd has informed BSE about the following :

1. Change in name to “Hester Biosciences Ltd” :

The Company had applied pursuant to Section 21 and other applicable provisions, if any, of the Companies Act, 1956 for approval of the Central Government, (now delegated to the Registrar of Companies) the existing name of the Company be changed from “Hester Pharmaceuticals Ltd” to “Hester Biosciences Ltd”.

The Company got the approval for the same and therefore the new name of the Company becoming effective.

2. Inability of Dr. John Donahoe to join the Board :

Dr. john Donahoe is unable to join the Board due to technical reason and so at present the Company has 7 Directors on the Board, consisting of 4 Promoter Directors and 3 Independent Directors.

With reference to the news item appearing in a leading financial daily titled “Hester Pharma plans acquisition in Europe”, Hester Pharmaceuticals Ltd has clarified BSE that the information printed on Hester about its planning to buy business in Europe is based on the Company’s intention and not on any confirmed activity.
