Lime Chemicals Ltd has informed BSE that the shareholders at the Extra Ordinary General Meeting (EGM) of the Company held on April 15, 2008, have considered and adopted the audited Profit and Loss Accounts for the eleven months period ended February 29, 2008 and Balance Sheet as on that date along with the Report of Auditors thereon and taken note of fact that the during the above period the Company has incurred a heavy losses and the net worth has been negative and the Company has become sick and a reference to the BIFR u/s 15 of the Sick Industrial Companies (Special Provisions) Act 1985 has been made.

Lime Chemicals Ltd has informed BSE that the Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held on March 04, 2008, inter alia, has considered the audited accounts for the eleven months period ended February 29, 2008 and during the above period the Company has incurred a heavy losses and the net worth has been negative and the Company has become sick.

In view of the above the Board of Directors has decided to make a reference to the Board for Financial Reconstruction.
