of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), Noida, to offer value added application services through the Software as a Service mode of delivery.

NIIT Technologies recently launched its “Software as a Service” (SaaS) offering and has tied up with C-DAC, Noida to host their applications. NIIT Technologies Ltd on February 28, 2008 has announced that it has acquired German-based SofTec GmbH, a specialist in providing IT solutions and services in the airline revenue accounting and operations space. The acquisition will further strengthen NIIT Technologies’ presence in the Travel, Transportation and Logistics vertical. The new Company would be a wholly owned subsidiary of Ltd, India.

“The individual strengths of and SofTec are complementary. The acquisition will strengthen our domain leadership to reinforce our position in the Travel, Transportation and Logistics space,”, said Mr. Arvind Thakur, Chief Executive Officer of NIIT Technologies.

NIIT Technologies Ltd, on February 14, 2008, has unveiled a new paradigm offering ? ‘Software as a Service’ (SaaS). With this offering enterprise solutions can be made available for use by companies as and when required or ‘on demand’.
