Sex racket busted in Kolkata
The city police on Sunday busted a sex racket in a south Kolkata locality and arrested 16 people, eight of whom are housewives from suburban localities.
The detective department carried out a raid at 3A Ramakrishna Park, off Sarat Bose Road, on Sunday morning and found eight men and eight women. Investigation revealed that the house was leased by Malati Haldar, who was arrested a year back in another such raid. Police said the women were housewives from south suburban areas and none of them was a regular at the den. "They would get Rs 1000-1500 per client," an officer said. The arrested men are traders. Two of them are from Nadia and Murshidabad while the rest are from different parts of the city.
